Strandie in the spotlight: Ines Ben Hamoud

Strand is turning 10!

We grew continuously in terms of revenue and number of colleagues. But more importantly, we grew in culture, attitude, involvement, community strength and family bonds. In short, our family did not only grow, it became stronger.

And of course, this is because of our Strandies. Therefore, we would like to put them in the spotlight and this month we would like you to meet Ines Ben Hamoud, our very own finance & Office Consultant

Who is Ines?

Ines is a kickass Finance & Office consultant and a great mom for her son Noah. She's also a travel junkie and loves to take her family on adventures. But there's even more room in her heart! As a Strandie, she is also our Charity Project Manager. She is the office's Miss Sunshine and a big fan of our events!

1) How did you end up at Strand?

I ended up at Strand via my sister who was working at another recruiting company. A little while after that I recommended my sister at Strand and now, we both work there.

2) What’s the best thing about being a Finance & Office Consultant at Strand?

I have a lot of responsibilities I like to do (invoices, making sure there is cash flow) and being able to organize everything regarding charity. Of course, also the fun colleagues I get to work with every day!

3) How would you describe Strand in 3 words?

Humane – Crazy - Rewarding

4) What’s your biggest win at Strand?

Regarding my job, I would say making a system so that the process for outgoing invoices is fast and easy for everyone at Finance to use.
But I also got the opportunity to go to Nepal for our charity work. It was an experience seeing everything with my own eyes. This made me better at communicating our charity to other people and organizing our winter walk. My most important message to the people is that everything helps regarding charity, not just financial contributions

5) Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us.

When my son, Noah, was 3 years old, we decided to backpack for a month in Thailand. There were people that advised against this with the age my son was at, but everything went smooth and it was a beautiful experience.

6) If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?

The ability to heal everybody with the snap of a finger!

7) If you could give one important advice to others in your function, what would it be?

This is more in general, but I would say grab opportunities. At Strand there are a lot of opportunities and all you have to do is grab them. When you see them through and you prove what you're capable of, the results will follow

8) What was your favourite Strand event?

Our HQ teambuilding in the Ardens, where we did a drop from a helicopter. Which was a crazy experience and I moved many personal borders! But I also got to know my colleagues better and realize I can always fall back on them.

9) Which Strandie deserves to be put in the spotlight next?

Caroline De Leener. We went on the Nepal trip for charity together and we really got to know each other. Caroline, I’m super proud of you as a woman!

We're happy that you're part of our Strand Family, Ines!
